Product Assessment & Reliability Centre T/A PARCBideford, Devon

PARC’s current UKAS 2379 result and linked schedule identify its environmental testing laboratory at Unit 4, Alverdiscott Road Industrial Estate, Bideford. The schedule is limited to this main address and general non-explosive stores and equipment. Selected rows cover climate, ingress, salt spray, ambient and temperature-vibration, shock and free fall. Chamber, load and severity values belong to their specific rows. Use the owner’s sales/general route to agree the specimen, conditions and required report.

Key facts

Exact testing site
Unit 4, Alverdiscott Road Industrial Estate, Bideford, Devon EX39 4LQ, United Kingdom. The schedule restricts testing to the main address.
Material and selected scope
The schedule covers general non-explosive stores and equipment. This guide selects six environmental and dynamic groups, preserving the separate climate, ingress, corrosion, vibration and shock/free-fall rows.
Current official schedule
UKAS 2379’s ISO/IEC 17025:2017 schedule is issue 039 dated 19 February 2026. The result and linked fourteen-page schedule were retrieved on 1 October 2026.
Customer enquiry route
Use info@parctest.co.uk or +44 1237 421255 for sales/general enquiries. The schedule lists the same phone with quality@parctest.co.uk. Certification and complaints/appeals are separate contact routes.

Testing capabilities

High/low temperature, thermal shock and humidity

The schedule lists steady and cyclic high/low temperature, automated-transfer thermal shock, thermal cycling and high/low temperature with humidity. Different chamber sizes have different limits. Two humidity combinations are stated separately below. Confirm the exact row, method edition, specimen and conditions.

Solids and water ingress protection

Page 7 lists solids IP1X–IP6X, water IPX2–IPX8 and separate IPX9/IPX9K rows. References include BS EN 60529:1992+A2:2013 and ISO 20653:2013 in the applicable rows. No IPX1 row is allocated. Agree the required code, specimen configuration and report.

Salt-spray environmental exposure

Page 8 lists salt spray with printed references including ASTM B117-19 and BS EN 60068-2-11:2021. Exact method, edition and exposure conditions control the work. Rain/spray rows are separate and their ambiguously labelled dimensions are omitted.

Vibration at ambient temperature

Ambient sinusoidal, random, sine-on-random and random-on-random rows publish 3–2,400 Hz, maximum load 1,500 kg, maximum displacement 63.5 mm peak-to-peak and maximum item height 3 m. These published limits are separate from temperature-vibration and do not promise simultaneous maxima.

Vibration with change of temperature

The separate page 11 row publishes 3–2,000 Hz, maximum load 600 kg vertically and 600 kg horizontally, maximum displacement 63.5 mm peak-to-peak, -70°C to +170°C and maximum chamber size 0.85 × 0.85 × 0.85 m. Confirm the achievable combination for the specimen and fixture.

Shock, bump and free fall

The schedule lists classical shock pulse shapes and synthesised signatures, with ambient shock/bump limits of 1,500 kg and 100 g. The distinct high-impact shock/bump row gives 1,500 g and 13 kg. Free fall separately gives maximum drop height 2.5 m and item mass 250 kg. These values are not interchangeable or guaranteed together.

Equipment and published limits

Published equipment limits and conditions

Separate humidity chamber combinations-70°C to +180°C, 15–98% RH, 1 × 1 × 1 m. Separately -65°C to +150°C, 15–98% RH, 2 × 2 × 2 mPage 4 lists two distinct temperature/humidity/chamber combinations. These do not establish every temperature and humidity simultaneously, or a range for a larger chamber.
Ambient vibration limits3–2,400 Hz, 1,500 kg maximum load, 63.5 mm peak-to-peak maximum displacement, 3 m maximum item heightPage 9 ambient sine/random-related rows. Separate maxima need provider agreement for the specimen and fixture, without transfer to temperature-vibration.
Temperature-vibration limits3–2,000 Hz, 600 kg vertical and horizontal, 63.5 mm peak-to-peak, -70°C to +170°C, 0.85 × 0.85 × 0.85 m maximum chamberPage 11 vibration with change of temperature only. No simultaneous maximum, unrestricted load or ambient-vibration limit transfer is inferred.
Distinct shock and free-fall limitsAmbient shock/bump 1,500 kg and 100 g. High-impact shock/bump 1,500 g and 13 kg. Free fall 2.5 m and 250 kgPages 11–14 state separate rows. Ambient shock values, high-impact severity and free-fall mass/drop height are not one operating envelope.

Standards and accreditation

UKAS 2379 and ISO/IEC 17025:2017
The current result links issue 039 dated 19 February 2026, with testing at the Bideford main address only. General non-explosive stores/equipment and each printed test row control accredited claims. PDF creation/modification also falls on 19 February 2026 and remains separate metadata.
Method and certification boundaries
Selected rows retain exact ingress and salt-spray editions and distinguish climate, ambient/temperature-vibration and shock/free-fall limits. Other owner advertising, PPE/UKCA certification and SOPEMEA/Apave or French COFRAC context do not extend this environmental testing schedule. Confirm the precise method and report status for the proposed work.

What to confirm with the facility

  • Testing in the retained schedule is at Unit 4 in Bideford and for listed non-explosive stores/equipment. Different climate chambers, ambient/temperature-vibration rows and shock/free-fall quantities remain distinct, with no combined maximum or unrestricted specimen capacity inferred.
  • The selected ingress rows do not list IPX1. Ambiguously labelled rain dimensions, wider owner/group services and separate product-certification claims are not allocated. Published quotation/report aims and promotions do not establish guaranteed timing, price or current availability.
  • Provide the item configuration, specimen and fixture dimensions/mass, intended method and conditions, acceptance criteria, reporting requirements and programme so the provider can confirm suitability and cost.

Sources and review

Reviewed by Arc on 1 October 2026 in Europe/London using four fresh official sources. All fourteen complete pages of current UKAS 2379 issue 039 were visually inspected. Exact Unit 4 Bideford main-site-only and non-explosive material scope, six selected groups, separate humidity combinations, ambient/temperature-vibration and shock/free-fall limits are mapped. Owner sales/general and schedule quality routes remain distinct. Bodies, headers, retrieval records, extraction, full page renders, titles, raw canonicals and metadata are preserved. Owner and contact original titles are empty and their raw canonicals have no scheme. No verified owner/contact publication or modification date was found. Issue date and PDF creation/modification on 19 February 2026 are separate from this review, and UKAS directory-template dates do not date the result. IPX1, ambiguous rain dimensions, group/PPE certification scope and timing guarantees are not inferred. Prior discovery bytes remain unchanged and imported postcode coordinates are cleared.
