Clothing, textile and leather material tests
Selected UK rows include dimensional change, domestic/industrial washing, material-specific colourfastness, flexing, abrasion and thermal/water-vapour resistance. Chemical rows separately cover named textile or leather analytes such as azo-derived amines, pH, formaldehyde and chromium VI. Exact material and method must be agreed.
Footwear, rubber and plastics physical tests
Local footwear rows include adhesive/sole bond strength, heel and attachment tests, dynamic water penetration and flexing. Rubber/thermoplastic-soling abrasion uses ISO 4649:2017 Method A. Durometer hardness uses SATRA TM205:2016 for Shore A only. No general hardness range or full safety-footwear approval is inferred.
Selected heat, flame and welding clothing tests
UK test-data scope for EN ISO 14116:2015 excludes burst strength. EN ISO 11612:2015 excludes burst strength, aluminium splash, iron splash and mechanical pretreatment. EN ISO 11611:2015 excludes burst strength and small molten-metal spatter. Listed flame, heat, tensile, tear and seam methods remain product-specific.
Floor-covering and furniture performance tests

UK rows include sit/full-body harnesses, lanyards, energy absorbers, connectors, rescue loops/harnesses and rescue lifting devices. EN 1496:2017 note 5.8 limits functional-testing measurement capability to less than 6.5 m. S1 and S2 allocations are separate, without transferring off-site-only methods to Kettering.
Construction thermal, corrosion and reaction-to-fire tests
