Textile fibre and formaldehyde analysis
Separate listed methods cover fibre identification, quantitative fibre-mixture/chemical analysis and free/released formaldehyde. BS 4407:1988 excludes methods 9, 13, 16 and 17. Formaldehyde rows name BS EN ISO 14184-1:2011 and BS EN ISO 14184-2:2011. Exact fibre mixture, material and method must be agreed.
Textile colourfastness and care performance
Selected colourfastness rows cover xenon-arc light, laundering, dry cleaning, water, sea/chlorinated water, perspiration and migration into PVC coating. Rubbing, yellowing, wash appearance and dimensional stability to washing/free steam are separately listed. Exact editions and conditioning apply, with withdrawn older references requiring agreement.

Cleansing/wetting uses BS 5651:1978 Clause 4.5 only or the separately listed BS 5651:1989. Heat-resistant clothing BS EN ISO 15025:2002 is explicitly withdrawn.
Furnishings, bedding and curtain ignitability
Upholstered seating/composites, mattresses/divans/bedbases, bedcovers/pillows and curtains have separate product-specific ignition rows. Bedding smouldering-cigarette BS EN ISO 12952-1:2010 and small-open-flame BS EN ISO 12952-2:2011 remain distinct.
